Shaun Ertischek, Cascade365’s Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel, was appointed Vice Chair of ACA International’s Federal Affairs Committee by ACA’s President. The Federal Affairs Committee monitors and provides recommendations to the ACA Board of Directors on issues related to the legislative and executive branch and its federal regulatory agencies.  In this position, Shaun will be taking a leadership role in helping the committee and association formulate and advance regulatory and legislative efforts on the federal level (including with the CFPB).  Currently, the committee is discussing advocacy efforts and filing a comment in response to the CFPB’s notice of proposed rulemaking related to the definition of a larger market participant in the consumer debt collection industry, which will impact the number of companies within scope for potential future supervisory examinations by the Bureau.
