Team Cascade365 is diverse. We come from many different backgrounds, ethnicities, and belief systems. Rather than creating derision and confusion in the ranks, our differences are a defining strength that make us more powerful as a team.

 

One example of Cascade365’s diversity are its team members that celebrate Holi. While I am no expert on the Hindu religion nor its holiday of Holi, I have been told by people wiser than me that it celebrates the undying love between deities Krishna and Radha, the triumph of good over evil, and the beginning of spring.

 

Holi is known as the “festival of colors” and is celebrated, in part, by revelers throwing colored powder on each other. The colors stick to ones face and clothing, creating a joyous kaleidoscope in honor of the occasion.

Employee Spotlight: Smita Karki

My name is Smita Karki, and I have been at Cascade365 for three years as an Operations Assistant. My role here is to work with collection agencies on monthly reports, media, collection placements and additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. During my time at Cascade365 I have gained a lot of knowledge from my team members, and I am excited to continue my growth with the organization. 

 

Outside of work, I love to go hiking and travelling and pursue my interest in home décor. Living in the Phoenix area, some of the good hikes are Toms Thumb, Wind Cave and Piestewa Peak. I spend most of my time decorating my house and have an Instagram profile, “Homedecorbysmii”, where I share my decoration ideas. These days I spend most of my time reading and learning from other content creators to share on my Instagram page. I also enjoy practicing yoga because it really helps me to feel refreshed and to stay fit. 

 

One of the things I miss the most is my family and home. I have been in the US for more than 13 years and have not had the chance to go to Nepal to meet with my family. I am planning to go visit Nepal later this year.
