Cascade365 Pulse – Monthly Newsletter – August 2023
I was recently blessed with the opportunity to serve on a medical mission trip to Honduras. HNI Charities and Honduras Good Works sponsored the trip and allowed me to tag along. The mission sent doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists and a handful of laymen, such as myself, to remote parts of Honduras, providing healthcare to 1,000+ Hondurans over the course of a week. It was an exciting experience to work alongside so many talented healthcare professionals and to see the positive impact on the communities served.
While Cascade365 regularly donates money to philanthropic endeavors, this trip to Honduras was the first time in a long while that I have personally contributed my time in a meaningful manner. I helped drive, load supplies and to entertain the local Honduran children while they waited to see the dentist or for their parents to see the doctor.
It was a humbling and rewarding experience and I hope to have the opportunity to volunteer again next year.
I’m the Director of Client Services with Cascade365, I’m the new kid on the block approaching my 4-month anniversary. Although new to Cascade I’ve had a 30 year long career in bad debt health care receivables management. I’m very happy to have found myself at a company like Cascade that promotes an environment of supports and encouragement for each other. My role is to further enhance and build upon Cascade365’s strong culture of providing best-in class support to our clients.
I have been married to my Husband Terry for 36 years. We have two grown Sons Bryant and Kelby and two fur babies Waylon and Abby. We enjoy traveling
together and one of our favorite destinations is Maui. Our last trip there was
for my big 50 birthday. One of my favorite things that we did during that trip was zip-lining. It was a gorgeous fun adventure with the most important people in my life. We had hoped to go back this year for Christmas, but sadly that will not happen and my heart breaks for everyone there and the loss that they have experienced.
When I’m not traveling with my Husband or family, I enjoy my annual trip with
girlfriends that I’ve have been friends with since we were in grade school
together. We’ve been doing trips together for 15 years. There is a group of 9
of us and we get as many of us together as we can for at least a long weekend
and have gone to various destinations. Sometimes that destination is my house
because it’s usually in April and that’s a great time to come to AZ for a visit.
This past year we went to Nashville, TN. Nashville is another one my favorite
spots. Any place where I can listen to live music all day is a place I love to be.
As summer is coming to an end, I’m looking forward to going home to Minnesota for my Great niece’s wedding. It’s a quick three-day trip that will be jam packed
with friends, family and making as many memories as possible. We travel back
there frequently because we do not like to miss out on any of the special
occasions for our friends and family. I’m hoping for beautiful weather so we
can be outside and enjoy all the green. I can’t wait for home grown tomatoes. If
you’ve never had a MN tomato in September you’re missing out.
LABOR DAY 2023
Why We Celebrate
As we approach another Labor Day, Cascade365 reflects on the rich history and significance of this important holiday. Labor Day, observed on the first Monday of September, traces its roots back to the late 19th century, when the labor movement fought tirelessly for workers’ rights and better working conditions. This day serves as a tribute to the achievements of American workers and the contributions they have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our nation. It stands as a reminder of the collective efforts that have shaped the modern workplace. At Cascade365, we honor the spirit of hard work, dedication, and unity that Labor Day embodies. As we celebrate this year, we extend our warmest wishes to all, hoping you take this opportunity to relax, enjoy, and recharge. Happy Labor Day!
